Though a little less than 2018, talent acquisition remains a critical issue in 2019 too. For the second year in a row, employers responding to the survey have indicated that “finding quality talent” is one problem they are struggling most.

The bid for competent and experienced employees has become a serious challenge for Indian organizations. Where 100% of small organizations are facing difficulty in getting top talent, not left behind are mid-size or large-size companies.

AVERAGE TIME TO FILL A POSITION INCREASES WITH JOB LEVEL

One goal of the talent acquisition process is to fill vacant positions in a timely manner. The longer it takes to fill a position, the more it costs: spending on the hiring process, and loss of revenue that would otherwise be brought in from the position waiting to be filled.

How long does it take to hire someone?

As per our study State of Talent Acquisition-2019, the time to fill in positions increases with the job-level you are hiring for. The number is shorter for entry-level job level employees, and longer for senior-level positions.

Organizations have started moving away from manual hiring process to automated ones and adopting technologies like chatbots for pre-screening of candidates

We surveyed 900+ talent recruiting decision makers across India to understand where the industry is headed and how you can chart your course for success in 2019.

The survey was designed for talent acquisition and human resources leaders across all geographies in the Indian subcontinent (North, South, East, West - Also Metropolitan, Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities) and conducted in the most appropriate language for each market. More than 900 respondents spanning VP/SVP/EVP, C-suite, director, manager and individual contributor levels completed them survey.
