India’s biggest pharmaceutical joint venture wanted to ensure that every hire is a high-performer, or a ‘rock star’, as we call them. The client aimed at turning their recruitment process into a competitive advantage, making sure that every hire adds the most value possible.

What Did We Do?

Mettl suggested benchmarking the proficiency levels for every ’key’ competency, ensuring that more weightage is given to competencies that really affect on-job performance.

The Impact

The suggestive solution was to design the perfect model assessment for the organization. The critical part is to extract the most relevant competencies, and put lower weightage to those which don’t affect on-job performance. The computer adaptive assessment needed to simulate conditions for assessing that were similar to what the on-job experience is like. This would include heavy research and data-backed derivations for the Model assessment, and also a very precise cut-off (benchmarking).

Mettl suggested hiring using ‘Model’ assessments, which were benchmarked in accordance with the proficiency and ‘key’ competencies of the existing high-performers.
