How to Interpret the Report?
The Mettl Test for Verbal Reasoning (MTVR) assess a candidate’s/ test taker’s ability to comprehend information, think logically, and derive logical conclusions based on verbal content in English language. This test can be used for hiring freshers and experienced candidates, from across educational background, for various executive level functional roles, team lead and managerial profiles. This test can be used for identifying talent across major industries like e-commerce, financial services, manufacturing, retail, and IT & ITES etc.
Responses to MTVR are scored based on how many correct options a respondent chooses. Each item answered correctly is awarded 1 mark and items answered incorrectly or not attempted are given a 0 (zero) mark. An individual’s overall score is an average of all items answered correctly. The scores are then converted into Sten scores, which bring these scores into a 10 point scale. A score of 1 indicates low performance and a score of 10 indicates high performance.

Moderately likely to have the ability to comprehend and rationally examine the given piece of verbal information. Moderately likely to have the ability to recognize the difference between fact, argument and inference. Somewhat likely to have the ability to read and interpret written information and answer questions accurately. Moderately likely to have the ability to use steady and rational approach to arrive at a conclusion. Somewhat likely to have the ability to draw out logical conclusions, take decisions and solve problems.

Developmental Tips
• Analyze statements/ written information logically in order to come up with appropriate solutions.
• Think back on your analysis/ misinterpretation of any information and refer to the documents again to understand where you are lacking and which areas need improvement.
Suggested Activities/ Tasks
• Participate in activities that require you to work with large amount of written information.
• Read business reports, articles, and areas which you are less or not familiar with. Make notes of the key points, analyze those points and discuss your analysis with experts on these areas.
• Summarize your understanding every time after reading reports/ articles and work/ business related information and question every point the author is trying to convey.
