National Occupational Standards
They can form the benchmarks for various education programs, training programs and recruitment range of HRM practices. Each job role requires performance of tasks; each task has a qualification pack (QP); each QP consists of NOSs.
Credit Transfer
The process of recognizing prior learning that is credit rated by the assessment and certification bodies authorized to do so.
Credit
It is the recognition of a successfully completed prior course of learning for a learner, corresponding to a qualification at a given level. Credits can be used to assist learners transfer between programs.
Horizontal and Vertical Mobility
Horizontal mobility is a candidate’s ability to move between different sectors, holding a standard job role. On the other hand, vertical mobility is the transition between different levels within the same sector.
