Donald Kirkpatrick developed the Kirkpatrick Model in 1960. The Kirkpatrick Model identifies four levels of assessing the effectiveness of a training program. The Kirkpatrick Model is a popular tool for analyzing the results of a training intervention. The four levels of the Kirkpatrick Model are Reaction, Learning, Behavior and Results.
The first level of the Kirkpatrick Model gauges participants’ responses and reactions to the training program.
