Whiteboard Coding Interview

Whiteboard coding interview is an interview process wherein a developer is asked to attempt a solution to a coding problem by penning down the process with actual codes on a whiteboard instead of an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) or an editor.

By asking the coder to scribble algorithms and codes on the whiteboard, interviewers observe how candidates articulate a question, break it down and solve it. They also gauge how often candidates communicate and discuss their codes’ uses and functionalities, which can take hours or even a day.
