ADDIE Model

What is ADDIE Model

The ADDIE Model is a widely known instructional design framework used to develop effective training programs. It consists of five phases including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.

ADDIE Model Process

During the analysis phase, the training needs and goals are identified. This means conducting a thorough analysis of the target audience, their existing knowledge, and the specific requirements of the training program.

In the design phase, a blueprint for the training program is created. This includes defining clear learning objectives, determining the content and instructional strategies, and selecting appropriate assessment methods.

Once the design is finalized, the development phase involves creating the actual training materials, such as modules, presentations, and interactive activities. The development phase focuses on translating the design into tangible learning resources that effectively convey the desired knowledge and skills to the learners.

In the implementation phase, trainers deliver the training program to the learners, utilizing various instructional techniques and methods. This phase emphasizes active learner engagement and effective facilitation to ensure that the training is delivered to promote understanding and retention.

Finally, the evaluation phase assesses the effectiveness of the training program. Feedback is collected from learners and stakeholders to measure the achievement of learning objectives and identify areas for improvement.
