Lateral thinking skills or fluid intelligence identifies logical rules, patterns and trends to formulate meaningful information for solving problems to assess the aptitude of the candidate which can be further used to evaluate abstract reasoning.
Mettl Assessment for Abstract Reasoning aims to identify creative thinking and underlying logic to solve problem statements. This test can be used across culture at different job roles, more preferably for entry level or fresher level positions. The nonverbal, interactive image based structure of the questions has been derived from the Raven’s Progressive Matrices test.

The test comprises 30 items based on the Raven’s Progressive Matrices, a nonverbal test that evaluates abstract reasoning and is believed to be an estimation (nonverbal) of fluid intelligence. John C. Raven in the year 1936 first developed these tests.
