Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

An exciting and useful way to understand human personality a little bit better is by using a personality assessment test. Such tests may be developed with seasoned psychologists' help, letting employers know about the candidate's strengths and weaknesses. The test also provides feedback about the participant’s behavior during social interactions and which people to communicate with or avoid.

Listed below are some common tips for assessment success:

The first step would be to find a job opportunity and apply right away to an airline
Check that your work experience/ qualification aligns with the job requirement
Tailor your resume accordingly for each opportunity
Send your resume or fill the application form for the airline of your choice
Attend an interview, which may be a telephonic, face to face or video interview
 Participate in an assessment day
Complete the background verification and medical evaluation
Pass the training course, and you are ready to fly!

There is no definite answer to this question. Please make it a point that wherever the cabin crew questions come from, you must have practiced and prepared extensively for tackling the different types of interviews. However, we have listed some standard cabin crew interview questions:

What do you think are your strengths?
What skills are essential to become a cabin crew member?
How would you deal with a challenging passenger? Can you describe an instance in which you have tackled such a customer?
Do you prefer working as a team or independently?
What would you do to deal with difficult colleagues? Can you recall a time when you dealt with a coworker that couldn't get along with you?
Do you have any hobbies? What are your interests?

Not necessarily. Usually, it depends on the airline you are looking forward to joining. You might be required to have fundamental swimming skills in many international airlines.

Given below are some must-have qualities that all airlines look for in aspirants:

 Customer-focus mindset
 Empathy
 Teamwork
 Excellent communication skills
 Adaptability
 Elegancy

There is no substantial difference between the two “terms’’ in the overall scheme of things. These are just different names implying to the same profession. It doesn't matter much whether someone addresses you as a cabin crew member or an air hostess. You are still responsible for managing passengers' needs on the plane, ensuring them the best flight experience.

The best way to answer this commonly asked question is by aligning your justifiable reasons with the competencies required to perform the job. You can express your desire to find an opportunity to fulfill your passion for helping customers by delivering excellent customer service. Moreover, it would be best if you also put a focus on your collaboration skills and teamwork.

Assessment days with airlines can be a trying experience as an assessment day comprises various, smaller assessments that participants need to ace to increase their chances of success. Listed below are the types of tests candidates face on the assessment day:

The reach test - this test requires that aspirants should achieve a minimum arms reach of 210 cms (a standard norm for most airlines) on tiptoes. They need to stand on their feet and raise their heels(without shoes) and reach up with their arms to the marker to fulfill the test requirement.

Mathematics test - the cabin crew math test aims to assess necessary mathematical skills based on a cabin crew situation.

Language test - the cabin crew English test aims to understand language skills, fluency, articulation, pronunciation, and language comprehension skills. Some English tests are about an hour-long, where aspirants can be asked to go through a cabin crew story and answer some MCQ questions based on that to evaluate their comprehension skills.

General knowledge test - Undeniably, the assessment day for cabin crew will vary from airlines to airlines, so candidates must be well-prepared to improve their chances of passing the assessment day. More often than not, there is also a general knowledge test for cabin crew, which includes questions on topics such as airport codes, geography, time-zones, currency, etc. Candidates should also be well-aware of the airline’s route map, airport codes, aircraft history, fleet, and other related information.

Group test - The group test enables employers to determine whether the aspirant has the required soft skills to perform effectively as a crew member.

Interview - Last but not least, the successful candidates that passed the test are invited for the interview round. Practicing mock cabin crew interview questions and answers beforehand enables aspirants to make an impeccable impression during the actual interview. They should also focus on honing the job interview etiquette as well.

To secure a place on the cabin crew, the aspirants must pass through an intensive hiring process that includes a blend of assessments, such as an English language test, a personality test, and various other tests and interviews.
